What an incredible experience representing Thompson Safety at the Georgia Safety Conference last week in Savannah! It was inspiring to connect with so many like-minded professionals who are just as passionate about workplace safety and continuous improvement as we are. What a great few days’ learning with my team, exploring new technologies/techniques and reinforcing how we go forward in growing safety culture and engagement, plus preventing injuries. Lastly, very proud that my employer Chicken of the Sea not only invested in my team to send us but was also a conference sponsor!

The Georgia Safety Conference is more than a series of presentations and procedures—it’s a gathering of people who genuinely care about one another’s well-being. The conference doesn’t just inform—it connects people and reminds everyone that behind every hard hat, badge, or title is a person, that protecting people is the true purpose of safety.

I thoroughly enjoyed this conference! From PPE, Technology, Leadership, Environmental Health, Legal, Construction, AI…you name it, there’s a session on it. I highly recommend this conference to anyone and everyone in a safety and/or risk role! I guarantee you will learn something that you can take back and apply at your job!…I shared takeaways from the conference with the department I’m in (Safety & Risk Unit), and they were impressed. So much so that there will be 3 of us attending the conference this year!

The Georgia Safety Conference feels different because it’s intentionally sized to foster real connections. On the Savannah riverfront, you’re not lost in a crowd—you’re reconnecting with peers, meeting new partners, and engaging with vendors you build long-term relationships with. It’s professional, welcoming, and genuinely meaningful.

Where can you engage with knowledgeable, skilled, and helpful speakers who are leaders in th eir fields? The GA Safety conference, with its intimate size ensures you aren’t just a face in a crowd—speakers are accessible and ready to connect. It is an affordable alternative to massive national conventions without sacrificing the quality of education. I have attended for 20 years; give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
